About the Conference

The 8th European Stainless Steel Conference brought together researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to discuss advances in stainless steel science, technology, and market developments. Held at Congress Graz, the three-day programme covered topics spanning alloy design, processing, corrosion behaviour, and applications across sectors.

The event was jointly presented as the Duplex Steel Conference & Exhibition 2015, reflecting a strong focus on duplex stainless steels — their metallurgy, fabrication, welding, and performance in demanding environments.

This conference was part of the ASMET events programme, which supports knowledge exchange across the metallurgy and materials science community.
